Check out the Chicago Police Department's Clearmap page, which provides information about crime occuring throughout the City:

Input your address, and define the dates and proximity perameters desired. Then Clearmap will list the crimes committed within your defined search terms. This is a good way to keep track of what's happening in our area and to determine whether arrests are up.
